Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By using mp4togifconverter.com (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. No account or registration is required.
2. The service
The Service is a free, browser-based converter that turns MP4 video into animated GIF images. All processing takes place on your own device using standard browser APIs. We do not receive, store, or transmit the files you convert.
Because the computation happens on your hardware, the speed and success of a conversion depend on your device, browser, and available memory rather than on any server we operate.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the videos you convert and the GIFs you produce. You confirm that you own or have permission to use the material you convert, and that doing so does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
We never obtain a licence to your content, because we never receive it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to create or distribute unlawful material, including content that sexualises minors, infringes intellectual property, harasses individuals, or violates applicable law. You also agree not to interfere with the Service's normal operation or attempt to attack the site or its hosting provider.
5. Technical limits
To keep the tool stable inside a browser tab, conversions are limited to:
- source file size up to 100 MB;
- source video duration up to 60 seconds;
- GIF clip length up to 15 seconds;
- output width up to 640 pixels.
These limits may change as browsers and devices improve. The current values are always shown in the interface.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that a conversion will succeed, that the output will meet your quality expectations, or that the site will be available without interruption.
Always keep your original video files. The GIFs saved in your browser's local history are not a backup and may be deleted by browser cleanup, private browsing, or storage pressure.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you paid us, which is zero.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
8. Advertising
The Service may display third-party advertising to cover hosting costs. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or for the practices of the advertising networks that serve them. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising affects data processing.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. The revised version takes effect when published on this page, and the date at the top will be updated. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
